Message from KYGWA Board regarding 2018 Trade Show

A MESSAGE FROM YOUR KENTUCKY GROUNDWATER ASSOCIATION

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Groundwater Association, greetings to you all!  It is that time of year when we are again making preparations for our annual Trade Show.  We are very excited about the 2018 Show and look forward to having a bigger, better show than last year.  We have many exciting changes this year and hope that you will all share our vision of growing the drilling industry in Kentucky.

The most noticeable change will be our pricing structure for attending the Trade Show.  Many of you have spoken to us about it, and we have listened.  In the past, there was an admittedly complex pricing structure involving membership, Show attendance, additional members, etc.  This year, we are trying a simplified approach with only two prices:  Early Registration (before February 7, 2018) of $125.00 per person and Late Registration (after February 7, 2018, including day of show) of $175.00 per person.  The only addition would be if a spouse is attending with the driller, a charge of $65.00 to cover meals, etc. would apply.  The price of admission includes membership in the Kentucky Groundwater Association, Continuing Education, and the Trade Show.

Once again, we are holding the show at the Holiday Inn Louisville East – Hurstbourne.  The facility is located at 1325 South Hurstbourne Parkway in Louisville.  There is a special Trade Show rate for rooms, but you MUST mention (the Hotel WILL NOT ask or assume) that you are with the KYGWA Trade Show.  Please make your reservations by calling the hotel as soon as possible at 502.426.2600.  IN ORDER TO GET THE REDUCED RATE, YOU MUST RESERVE YOUR ROOM NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 7, 2018!!

We are very excited about the continuing education opportunities we have to offer for this year.  We have confirmed that Mr. Rob Caho of Geoprobe Systems will present his excellent Drilling Safety and Maintenance class.  We are working on many additional courses and hope to have an updated course listing and schedule on our web site at www.kygwa.org very soon.  Of course, classes may be amended due to instructor availability, but all classes will count toward your required continuing education credits.  You will be able to fulfill your CEU requirements for your Kentucky license at our show.

We will also be having an auction to benefit the scholarship fund.  Please come ready to buy!  Remember, it is tax deductible!!!!

If you would like to attend this unique industry opportunity, please complete and return the Contractor Membership Application and the Trade Show Registration form.  If you have ANY questions, please feel free to drop me an email at toddmills@chaseenv.com.

As a final note, please consider becoming active in the Association.  Remember, this is YOUR Association.  We strive to represent your interests on the local, state and national level, but without your input, we cannot know your opinions on key issues.

We look forward to seeing each of you on March 1st and 2nd in Louisville!

Sincerely,

Kentucky Groundwater Association

Todd W. Mills, Vice President
