Church Hill Room Franklin Electric…Bob McClain. Variable Frequency Drives in water transfer from residential to municipal. Additional improved efficiency with Permanent Magnet (PM) Motors. Will include a slide show presentation / Q&A.
Keenland Room WEBTROL…Russ Hackman Pump Cavitation and Required NPSH. Discussion of the factors that cause cavitation and what factors contribute to NPSH to prevent the cavitation. Including Suction Head, heat, and head losses in Centrifugal and well pumps.

Its vital importance for obtaining maximum performance and safe, trouble-free operation, that the maintenance and adjustment procedures are carried out properly and on schedule.
Church Hill Room DOW Staff…. Water Well and Monitoring Well Abandonments…. The Do’s and Don’ts…This class will focus on the proper abandonment procedures for water wells and monitoring wells and the considerations that affect proper well abandonment in response to safety, human health and the environment.
Keenland Room CETCO…Richard Heskett TSM Drilling Fluid 101. Power Point Presentation on how to handle reactive and sandy soils. With some hands-on demonstrations for handling clay and sand conditions whenever possible.

Keenland Room DOW Staff…Kentucky One Stop Business Portal…Kentucky Uniform Well Construction Record eform…and How-to Setup a One Stop User Account. The Uniform Kentucky Well Construction Record was incorporated by reference in April 2008 and was made available for download from the Kentucky Well Drillers Program Web page. In March 2010, electronic submittal of this record was made possible through the Uniform Kentucky Well Construction Record eForm. The eForm allows drillers to comply with state well construction regulations by submitting the necessary documentation electronically rather than through paper copies, saving both time and money. In February 2017, all DEP eForms were migrated to the new Kentucky Business One Stop Portal, requiring a new One Stop User Account. This session will explain how to set up a One Stop User Account and how to access the current and the revised eForm in order to submit the data electronically to the Division of Water.

This class will also discuss the Driller Assistant Bill which should provide the path for Business Owners as well as Drillers to be successful and is now presently in the House and Senate.
